We have an Ayi that started this week she is coming to the house 3 times a week to help by cleaning and doing laundry/ironing. The first day she spent three hours dusting everything from baseboards to doors and cleaning the floors, however i think i need to introduce her to cleaning products as she only used water on the floors. She also did the laundry by hand, it was interesting to see someone wash everything by hand in a sink my nana used to wash clothes by hand often but i think in this case the washing machine will be better utilized for the volume of dirty clothes we produce. She came back on Wednesday and did the ironing and then also brought along her own laundry bucket and mop so we will see how everything goes tomorrow when she comes by. I must say as nice as it is to have someone do these things for you, it is awkward to sit around while its being done playing with Blake or relaxing because he is asleep....maybe I'll get used to it :)
At the grocery store there was a fun Dragon statue. This Sunday is Children's Day in China and Monday is the Dragon Boat Festival! Blake decided it was good to feed the dragon toy cars :)
I tried to purchase a lighter for the candles i found at Ikea, however it seems i have a play fire arm.
A trip to the ATM, all the banks here seem to advertise 24 hour ATMs they usually look like this, an old style phone booth where you push a button to get the door open going in and coming out for your safety :)
The gardeners were out watering the plants, this is how they tote along their gardening hoses.
Time for another haircut for Blake, I had to take a photo of this place so i can tell the driver the place next time instead of saying go to the hotel we stayed at then i will show you where to go. This after hearing a lecture from a lady at Brian's office as to why i should purchase my own hair cut shears then take them with me to get my son's haircut. Who does that? I don't want my own personal shears for Blake....oh well i didn't buy them and went here where they were happy to cut his hair with their shears :) 40 RMB not too bad = $6.39 USD.
He cried when they washed his hair and then wasn't super happy getting back into the car but here is the finished product, in his Hawaiian shirt!
