A little bit of China...

Living in China is becoming our reality and no longer a vacation.  We have a washer and no dryer, we hang our clothes to dry which can be a challenge on humid days.  I have to get the towels and sheets in the washer early so they have enough time to dry each day.  Today we have our Ayi coming, she will be similar to a housekeeper helping with the cleaning and laundry 3 days a week, I am excited for the help!

Blake and I go for walks to discover our new neighborhood and continue to go out and about each and every day!  We have found pharmacies, food stands, vegetable shops, baby clothing, hair care stores, barbershops, parts of some sort shops a bakery and a few other random places on our neighborhood walks.

Here are a few photos from our walk in the neighborhood we walked over the street to get to the other side!

Going out for groceries!  The jelly cups seem to be popular, they aren't refrigerated but you can find them in every flavor i think!  Haven't tried these yet but i think one day i will :)

The three little piggies are steamed buns at the local Carrefour market, not sure why the pumpkin is in there.

Hot dog buns from Ikea!  Finally some hot dogs in this house!  haha

Fresh strawberries from the local farm, Brian stopped on his way home and they smelled and tasted amazing!!!  The next crop won't be available until October though.

We have cable, we stream Netflix, Disney Jr, and Nick Jr...Some father-son time watching and clapping to Yo Gabba Gabba!

If you need an appliance delivered this is how it will get to you!  Water delivery is just the same.

There are shoes and there are house shoes in China, I found slippers big enough for my gigantic feet at Ikea!

Ahhhhhhhh....a trip to the International Market in Changzhou!  Found pink lemonade a nice treat besides water for this pregnant lady!  Teriyaki marinade for chicken, stir fry and  yummy sauces (note: not easy to find in China) !  Ben & Jerry's!  This was the last pint of any flavor other than Strawberry Cheesecake (which i don't eat) so we will try it out tonight after Blake goes to bed!  YUM!

All in all we had an uneventful weekend, Brian had to work on Saturday and Sunday we had a family day which was well needed.  Brian treated me to cooking dinner both nights and made some good steaks, and sweet and sour chicken!  Next weekend we will be in Shanghai checking out the sites!

For those asking about the baby...I am feeling really good just a little tired and everything is going well.  Next trip to the dr. is May 31st.  Here is a 16 week belly picture!
