The second part of my family's trip was over Mother's Day weekend! We met up with them in Shanghai on Friday, they had part of their tour to finish which included a boat ride on the river, then they checked into their cool hotel on the bund. We went to a nice Yunnan style Chinese restaurant for dinner, the restaurant, Lost Heaven, was really a neat place. After dinner, Brian took the kids back to the hotel and i took the rest of the family to a Chinese foot massage! One thing you must do in China is enjoy the foot massage! The next day we went to the Shanghai aquarium which was fun for everyone, it is on the other side of the bund so they got to see a view from over there. One of my favorite things about the aquarium is their large jelly fish display and least favorite is the crowded tunnel under the sea they force you to walk through that can be extremely cramped. After the aquarium we went to a lunch and then the Chocolate factory tour! The Zotter Chocolate Theater is really a neat place to visit in Shanghai, Brian and I have gone once before with Blake, and since it was Mother's Day weekend, they offered all mothers a free tour and to make their own chocolate creation free! What fun, you know me a chocolate!

| Grandma and Grandpa playing with Grace. What you don't see is the 10 Chinese people outside the window staring in at them!...LOL |
Saturday night, I stayed back with the kids and Brian went out with everyone else back to their hotel on the bund to have cocktails on the rooftop bar, i hear it was a clear night and pretty good views!
Sunday was Mother's Day, we had breakfast at the hotel, then went to the other hotel and went swimming in their pool which overlooked the bund, it was pretty cool! It was Grace's first time in the water and she loved it! Blake hasn't been swimming in about a year, so it was his first time in a long time and he enjoyed it once he got used to the 80 degree water! He was cruising around in the boat we brought with us. It was a relaxing day, I took the kids back to the hotel for nap time, and everyone else went to the Shanghai beer festival. They all said it was a good time, they got to try some interesting beers and Brian and Jayme ended up coming home with odd red hats with bells on them....hmmm.
The next day everyone headed back on their long journey home. It was a really nice visit, the kids loved seeing some family and we enjoyed having everyone here. We won't see them again.....until Hawaii!
