Moving in to the apartment

So this was a busy week for me, I can't exactly tell you what kept me busy all week but it flew by!  Sorry for not posting much this week to my avid followers that check daily but i will post a few separate times today!

Wednesday we received our delivery!!!  Finally we have things from home other than what we could bring on the plane with us and we were able to unpack (mostly) and now the apartment feels like our home!  The delivery guys showed up around 10:30 am on Wednesday and proceeded to bring up (luckily in the elevator) all 70 boxes and packages that were sent from the US on a slow boat to China.  Our items shipped on April 17th and arrived on June 11th after going through customs.  I would not have wanted to be these guys, especially carrying the large rocker chair and ottoman but i guess that's why the company paid someone to do it for us :)

The first thing i was in search of was the rubber mats that go in the playroom for Blake, most of his toys were bundled instead of placed in boxes so it was pretty eat to find things in the massive amounts of packaged up toys!  We found the mats and i wish i could have taken a photo of Blake when he saw these, it was like a light bulb went off and he realized this was all his stuff from home, quickly he assisted me in putting the rubber puzzle squares together, i think in hopes of then playing on them!  As I started to open the packages, and the delivery guys brought more up, Blake got move overwhelmed with what to possibly play with first!  I let him stay up until 2pm before putting him down for a nap because he was so happy playing, then napped for one hour then back to his toys!

Blake is now is a BIG BOY BED!  The room already had a full size bed so we just added some bed rails and he is doing great sleeping and napping in it!  Still going to hang some pictures and his monsters from home on his wall :)

Once everything was settled in Blake's playroom I worked on getting this setup as best as I can in the baby's room...still work to be done but i feel better now that we have the swing, bouncer, crib and changing table among the burp cloths and bottles we had from Blake!  I am 19 weeks along and next weekend get another ultrasound of the little one!

We still have lots of clothes to unpack in our room but the closet here is pretty small compared to back at home.  In addition, we got some spices and such that we shipped from the US.  Now we have lots of taco seasoning, black pepper, onion soup mix, ranch mix, fajita seasoning, and some medical items too!

It is so nice to have photos of friends and family on the refrigerator again!  Blake goes by and waves at the photos and likes to put them on and off the refrigerator.  Starting to feel like home!
