So we traveled to Shanghai this Saturday to check up on Baby Hudson #2! On our way to the train station i saw this man on his bike carrying tons of baskets (see below). We went by train and from a different station in our city this time so the experience was a little different, it was more of a long journey train so we had some nicer seats, personal tv (Chinese stations), were offered snacks and drinks complementary and on the way back they wanted to photograph Blake and offered us Haagen Daz!They asked nicely if they could take photos with him and proceeded with a professional camera to take photos with him and some of the waitresses working on the train. They were very nice and Blake was happy to smile for a few photos, who knows he might be on their next brochure! Below are some photos of the outdoor mall near the hospital, Shanghai Brewery, and.....a stand where you place your wet umbrella in to bag it so you don't drag water through a store or restaurant, you would never see these in AZ!

We checked in on the baby and everything is going well, here is a quick belly shot with Big Brother Blake, and the ultrasound photo! Baby #2 was sleeping on its belly while we were trying to get the photos, the ultrasound tech just kept talking to it saying "move baby"! Found out in China they only do the 2-hour fasting Glucose test at 24 weeks, so i get to do that next! We received our hospital packet of things to bring and signs to watch for. It specifically says to being your own Champagne, beer and wine as they do not stock this in the hospital..LOL I don't think the hospitals in the USA do either. :)

Sunday we made our first visit to the China Dinosaur Park which is about 15 minutes from where we live! We bought annual passes for both of us for approx. $120 usd. They also have a water park we did not get to visit but looked great! The park was pretty large and had lots of rides, most of which Blake couldn't go on and I couldn't go on any being pregnant. So Blake and dad went on his first amusement park rides and we let him run around to get some energy out....after 3 hours he was passed out in the car on the way home! Below are some of the photos from our trip there!

Blake's first rides were similar to the Tea Cups and Dumbo at Disneyland. He wasn't too sure about them but luckily dad was by his side! |
Some of the signage and rides in the kiddy land. |
You can rent a two person scooter to get around the park, they also offered a two person bicycle to get around. It was a pretty good sized park! |
Blake had to pose in the car getting attacked by T-rex! They also make these honey treats, there is an artist that makes shapes our of the honey and the kids eat them off a stick. Also a shot of one of the food stands. There were lots of places to get Chinese food, Japanese food, Chicken, Icees, Cotton Candy, Ice Cream and Popcorn! |
