So Blake and I got out of the house today! After pretty much three days of being in the apartment due to bad weather and a broken stroller axel thingy, we got out! We met a lovely lady that i had found through the Changzhou Expats FB page i have mentioned before and had coffee with her. It was the middle of the day on Tuesday so it was pretty empty and Blake could run around a bit. For those of my friends who love Starbucks, i thought it would be nice to pass along what a Chinese Starbucks is like, very much like at home, and they usually speak English a plus for me! I also received my latte in a nice giant mug today which made it feel more coffee house like and i really enjoyed not having a paper cup!
Here are some of the delicious treats, and a few others....they have Mother's Day Cake ( chocolate and cream cake), Croissants, Ham and Cheese sandwiches, reb bean scones...etc.
The Menu is in English and Chinese and while not as broad as the one at home and more tea offerings, I can still get a non-fat, decaf, grande vanilla latte!
My Gold Starbucks card from the States will no longer work here, but i got a new gift card so I can sign up and be on my way to a new Chinese Starbucks Gold card, you gotta have goals in life!
The rewards i think come faster and they offer you some buy one get one free coupons with sign up as a welcome gift! Every 88 rmb you can get a free drink or food item approx. $14.
So overall, no Dutch Bros. in China, but there is my saving grace of Starbucks that gives me a little bit of home and a nice treat! They are the only ones i have found with decaf coffee! <3
