The Polar Express with Walker

So the holiday season is upon us...Thanksgiving is next week and here in Phoenix, AZ it is finally starting to cool down and feel like fall....so how did the holidays get here so quick?!?!  I have done all my shopping for Thanksgiving Day and have all the recipes in place to make a delicious meal....followed by a crazy evening and early morning shopping spree also known as Black Friday!  In order to avoid some of the Christmas madness we decided to head up to Williams, AZ and take the Polar Express Train ride to the North Pole prior to Thanksgiving and enjoy some crisp winter air!
A whole crew of us who are quite fond of little man Walker took the trek up to Flagstaff, AZ for the weekend and drove down in a van seating all 12 of us to Williams, AZ depot.  As we boarded the train there were friendly people around us and light displays as far as the eye could see.

As we boarded the Polar Express we were greeted by Santa's Chefs and they gave us sing along books as they called "all aboard!"  We were on our way to the North Pole, all children and mommies and daddies in their pajama's just like in the story book....As we neared the tunnel which would get us to the North Pole in light speed all we saw were red lights!

Santa's Chef's came by to greet all the passengers and they read the story of the Polar Express.  As soon as we knew it we had cookies in our hands and hot chocolate to wash them down!  Faster and Faster we went and then we saw it....all lit up and colorful was the North Pole and Santa's village.

After a quick tour of the village we were back on our way home, but Santa needed a ride back....so he hopped on the train with all the boys and girls! Oh Boy were they excited!
Santa handed out bells to all the boys and girls, even some of the mommies and daddies got them too!  As we headed back to the train depot we sang Christmas Carols!

Oh what fun the Polar Express was this year...I hope you all get the chance to experience the magical journey and see those happy faces on all the little ones this year!  Happy Holidays!
