What's happening in Shanghai....

The big question everyone is asking "Is the baby here yet?".  I know we have lots of friends and family both in the US and China waiting to hear some news that we have our new addition.  Baby #2 is still cooking, I had my 38 week check up and ultrasound and everything looks great!  As long as we get to 39 weeks her lungs will be fully developed and everything should be good to go for when she decides to make her appearance!  Blake and I are currently living in Shanghai and Brian is commuting here on the weekends for time with us while still working so he can take the time off when the baby is actually here.

Shanghai is so much different than Changzhou as you can imagine and have seen in my previous posts.  The city is huge!  We found that out on our hour and a half trip to the zoo during Golden Week, but now that we have been here for a week and a half I am finding lots of different districts and areas of the city.  I have not ventured out too much as I am both physically and mentally exhausted at this point most days, but from or hotel/apartment alone you can see out to a much more metropolitan city.  There is a bus station nearby, you can see the train and hear the traffic when the windows are open.  Its really nice to be back in a big city, we have our groceries delivered for free from a variety of shops, I can have food delivered from courier services, and its pretty easy to catch a cab!

Below are some photos from this week, again not a lot going on between doctor appointment for both me and Blake, he turned 2 years old so we had to go in for a check up!  Everything is good, he is still growing strong.

Photos of the Wuning Bridge which is right by our apartment.  Blake at a family fun day meeting a monster character, he wasn't too scared but kept some distance after a quick high 5!  New Cola flavored Mentos, never seen these at home, not my favorite but i tried them.  A photo of one of the parks, the leaves are starting to change and the temperature is dropping so its Fall!  And a fresh juice stand at the family fun day, you see these often for orange and apple juice, this one looked like pomegranate. There is also a photo of the food rating system that is outside of the restaurants here in China :)

Our little man turned 2!  We spend Sunday together as a family taking him to the family fun day in Shanghai, then our for ice cream for his birthday!

Mommy and Blake went to the aquarium on his birthday to celebrate and had fun seeing the sharks and penguins!  Here are a few photos!  (I also took the Ayi along to help me with Blake)

Not much news here and to write about, but wanted to post so you all know we are doing just fine waiting on baby #2.
