And my little man got CARS shoes!

I have a friend who seeks out interesting things in Changzhou, she recently found a really neat custom shoe shop in Luquoi commodity mall.  This is one of those malls with different floors of goods people are selling with shop next to shop, more like stalls that pedal their goods.  This shoe lady in particular hand paints canvas shoes with all sorts of pictures, characters, words, etc.  When i saw the pair of My Little Pony shoes she had made for her daughter I knew i needed to get Blake a pair!  I asked her to go with me to find the stall and order some shoes one week ago.  When I reached the shop I was amazed at some of the shoes she had painted and was very excited.

I took her a few pictures of Blake's new favorite, CARS, Lightening McQueen and Tow Mater asking her to put one on each shoe and then also had some Jake and the Neverland Pirate shoes made for friends.  Here is the picture I gave her along with the finished product, completed in three days!  Blake loves them and was so excited to see his favorite characters on his shoes, he slipped his Mickey Mouse sandles off right away to put on his cool new shoes!

I think these turned out pretty cool, you can wash them with soap and water and she puts a coating on them so they are waterproof and the rain won't make the paint run.  You can see the shoes at her shop in a jar of water to prove this.  At least for the kids ones they are 150 RMB per pair which is about $25 USD.   See photos below for her other designs and shop, I was pretty impressed!  The things you can find in China!
